Gastric by-pass is an important techniqe for being the first operation performed for the treatment of obesity. This procedure can be done in two ways: single-anastomosis (mini) gastric by-pass and Roux&Y gastric by-pass. Roux&Y gastric by-pass reduces gastric volume to 40-60cc. Divided stomach is then connected to small intestines and by this anastomosis fewer calories can be absorbed. Metabolic features of this technique are more prominent. In single-anastomosis (mini) gastric by-pass, gastric volume is reduced to 100 cc and divided stomach is then connected to small intestines at 200 cm from their origin.
We use high quality staplers and tissue fusion – vessel sealing devices during our surgeries. To our international patients, we recommend two more days of stay at a hotel and then send them back to their countries after medical controls.
By the end of the first year after gastric by-pass surgery, patients who undergone Roux&y by-pass are expected to lose 35% of total weight and patients who undergone mini gastric by-pass are expected to lose 40% of total weight.
With our experienced crew and high quality hospitals, we aim to restore our patients to health within the shortest possible time.
