First of all, we need to look back and assess what we’ve been doing at home and at work. Being overweight is usually related to sedentary life style. We need to truly evaluate how much we exercise or don’t exercise at all. In order to lose weight, we need to exercise preferably everyday or at least three times a week. Duration of the exercise should be 30-45 minutes. 

Due to the pandemia, indoor places might not be a good choice to exercise, but we still can do brisk walking at parks with proper routes. We need to increase the intensity of exercises week by week gradually. The aim of exercise is to increase heart rate. Being physically active at work or walking like 10000 steps per day does not actually mean that you exercise. It will take time for your body to adapt regular exercise. 

We also need to chance our daily habits in addition to exercise. We should climb up the stairs instead of using the elevator. Getting off the bus two or three stops before the planned one and parking the car as far as possible are the other options. At first, these changes are going to tire us, but as the time goes by we’ll get used to them. 

We need to have dinner before 6 pm and stop eating afterwards. We shouldn’t spend more than 2 hours watching TV and shouldn’t have snacks during this. Shortening the TV time will also be a good example fort he kids.
